1. Recording of your streets
With our SMART Fleet solution, you can capture image data of your road infrastructure during operations – automatically and fully privacy-compliant. The camera is permanently installed in your vehicle fleets. Recording of the image data starts as soon as the vehicle’s engine is running. After each journey, you can then select which image data is uploaded to the Data Hub for analysis.
2. AI-based condition evaluation
Our AI provides an objective evaluation of the road condition based on industry standards as well as numerous practical statistics. The assessment is carried out regularly and completely autonomously by our proprietary AI, which has been trained with experience from TURNER Construction and HOCHTIEF.
3. Evaluation and management from the desk
Evaluate the condition data in the Data Hub from the comfort of your desk and carry out virtual inspections. In the Data Hub, you can filter your road network according to damage classes, road surfaces and various other dimensions so that you always have all the details at a glance.

What is the advantage of the fixed camera installation with SMART Fleet?
The camera installed in SMART Fleet delivers even higher quality images than a smartphone camera. This enables more in-depth analyses with SMART Fleet. With SMART Fleet, for example, 22 damage classes are evaluated and you can also see the damage areas visually displayed on the images. The fixed installation also offers a slight operational advantage, as the recording starts automatically when the engine starts and does not have to be started manually. SMART Fleet is particularly suitable for large municipalities with their own vehicle fleets.
What is the difference between SMART Mobile and SMART Fleet?
SMART Mobile is an iPhone app for recording image data. SMART Fleet is a permanently installed camera.
If you are looking for a flexible solution and want to use EDGITAL on different roads and in different vehicles, we recommend SMART Mobile.
If you operate a large fleet of waste disposal vehicles, SMART Fleet can have operational advantages. This is usually the case from a network length of 500 miles.

How is image data analyzed?
The image data is evaluated using artificial intelligence developed by EDGITAL engineers. As a result, damage on the images is automatically detected and evaluated.
How does the status data from the AI evaluation help me?
In the Data Hub, you can filter your road network according to damage classes, road surfaces and various other dimensions so that you always have all the details about your roads at a glance.
This information helps you to recognize changes in condition at an early stage so that you can then plan maintenance measures based on the data.
What does EDGITAL cost?
The price depends on the modules booked and the length of the route called up. In the basic version, you can use EDGITAL for less than 5 dollars per day.

Can I combine the EDGITAL modules?
All EDGITAL modules are compatible and run together in the Data Hub. You can combine individual modules as well as use modules for parts of your road network – for example, pure image data for secondary roads and AI evaluations for main roads.
