We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection information. This data protection information provides you with information about the processing of your personal data in connection with your visit to the www.edgital.io website as well as a summary of your rights under the European General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter “GDPR“). Personal data is all data with which you can be personally identified.

3. Data processing when visiting the website

a) Processed personal data

When you visit our website, we collect so-called log data (hereinafter referred to as “log data“). This log data is automatically recorded by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is a data record (also known as server log files) that is only temporarily stored by us.

When you use one of the contact forms offered on our website, we collect the data you provide in the contact form (hereinafter referred to as “contact form data“).

b) Purpose and legal basis of the processing

  • Log data
    The log data is processed for statistical purposes and to improve the quality of our offering, in particular the stability and security of the connection and the error-free provision of the website, and thus serves our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR).
  • Visit data
    Visit data is processed to improve the quality of our offer, in particular to analyze your user behavior on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR).
  • Contact form data
    Contact form data is processed and stored exclusively for the purpose of responding to your request or for contacting you. If you agree to occasional communication about products and services before sending the contact form data, we will also process and store your data for future contact. The legal basis for the processing of this data is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

c) Duration of storage

Unless a more specific storage period is specified in this data protection information, all personal data will be deleted as soon as its processing is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. If statutory retention obligations apply, the data will be deleted after the respective retention period has expired.

d) Recipient of the data

The data will only be passed on if this is necessary and in the cases listed below.

  • The services for hosting and displaying the website as well as for contacting and communicating are partly provided by service providers within the framework of order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. We also share contact form data for storage and processing purposes with HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions GmbH, whose expertise and resources we use to implement our projects.
  • Your data will be forwarded to authorities (e.g. competent data protection supervisory authority, public prosecutor’s office, etc.) if we are subject to a legal obligation to forward it. Otherwise, your data will only be passed on to other recipients if you have given us your express prior consent or if we have a legitimate interest in the transfer.

e) Newsletters and other advertising e-mails, download of documents

We send newsletters and other advertising emails if you have given your consent for this in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent to receive our advertising emails includes the evaluation of usage and interaction behaviour with the advertising emails (e.g. opening and click rates) in order to provide you with personalized content tailored to you. If advertising emails are subscribed to or documents provided on the website are downloaded, we can link the website visits with the personal data provided in order to provide individually relevant content.

In the case of existing customers, we may send advertising e-mails by e-mail in accordance with Section 7 (3) UWG. You can object to this at any time via the unsubscribe link in the advertising e-mail or by sending us a message.

Your name and e-mail address are required to register for the newsletter and other promotional mailings. Registration takes place via a double opt-in procedure. Consent can be revoked at any time via the unsubscribe link or by sending us a message.

We store registrations for advertising emails in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

4. Transfer to third countries

Among other things, we use tools from companies based in so-called third countries outside the EU or the EEA. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We would like to point out that it may not be possible to guarantee a level of data protection comparable to that in the EU in these countries. When selecting the tools, we ensure that there is an adequacy decision by the Commission in accordance with Art. 45 GDPR or other guarantees in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR. We are happy to provide a copy of the guarantees in accordance with Art. 45, 46 GDPR on request.

6. Consent management tool

We use a consent management tool (hereinafter referred to as “CMT“) for the purpose of consent management for cookies and comparable technologies. When you visit our website, a CMT cookie is set, which can be used to store the consents granted for the individual services and to control the corresponding activation or deactivation of the respective functionalities.
